Aurore Gontard
Soprano - Member of Les Voix Animées since 2023
Born into a music-loving family in Poitou, Aurore approched the stage as a child, through violin, dance and choir. After studying at the conservatories of Niort, La Rochelle and Toulouse, she started singing opera at eighteen and was quickly noticed for her clear and natural voice.
After a double master's degree in history, literature and English civilisation at the University of Paris-Sorbonne, she finally decided to pursue a full-time musical career, and joined the conservatories of the city of Paris.
She naturally turned towards the interpretation of early music and trained in the aesthetics of baroque singing with Julie Hassler, Brigitte le Baron and Monique Zanetti. After the obtention of a DEM in lyrical singing in the class of Daniel Petrovitch in 2020, she pursued her increased interest for earlier repertoires at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, where she still studies medieval and renaissance singing and harp with Kathleen Dineen.
Aurore has participated in numerous masterclasses, notably with Claire Lefilliâtre, Marc Mauillon, Margreet Honig, Benjamin Bagby, Patrizia Bovi... and sings mainly in chamber music and small ensembles. She is also a laureate of the Royaumont Foundation.
Passionate about a cappella polyphony and human encounters, she joined Les Voix Animées in 2023.
