Camille Leblond
Ténor - Member of Les Voix Animées since 2022
Camille Leblond discovered instrumental practice by chance at age 11 through harpsichord. Very soon, he was brought to explore the lyrical repertoire from ensemble music. That is how he revealed his voice and developed a passion for working on it. After a long self-teaching period, he began a lyrical formation in 2019 with Hubert Humeau and then Laetitia Volcey at the Conservatoire du Grand Châlon from which he received his degree in 2021.
During this course, he embodied a wide range of roles in numerous pieces such as Idomeneo (Arbaces) by W-A. Mozart, La Descente d’Orphée aux Enfers (Orphée) by M-A. Charpentier, Rake’s Progress (Tom) by I. Stravinsky and La Petite Messe Solennelle (solo tenor) by G. Rossini. In a constant search of innovations and improvements for his voice, he had the chance of receiving advices from singing personalities such as Robert Expert, Marie-Louise Duthoit and Sophie Marin-Degor.
Meanwhile, he discovered medieval and renaissance vocal improvisation. Furthermore, his needs for exploration of choir repertoire in its widest diversity brought him to begin working with ensembles such as Les Voix Animées (Dir. Luc Coadou), Les Métaboles (Dir. Léo Warynski) or even Le Concert Spirituel (Dir. Hervé Niquet). However, his great passion for lyrical art doesn’t prevent him from proceeding with his first interests for harpsichord. He, today, still plays it in a professional way.
