Laurence Recchia
Mezzo / Soprano - Member & Founder of Les Voix Animées
Laurence has been a musician from an early age (piano). She recorded musical stories for children (voice), and discovered choir singing at adolescence. She then explored many repertoires, from classical singing to American pop songs but also worked in musical theater with several leading roles in different productions.
She sang in several ensembles : the Choir of the Sorbonne (directed by Jacques Grimbert and Denis Rouger), the PACA Regional Choir (directed by Michel Santos), the Contemporary Choir (directed by Roland Heyrabédian) and Le Jardin des Muses (directed by Luc Coadou). In July 2008, she sang in the choir at the « Opéra au Village » in Cinderella by Pauline Viardot, under the direction of Luc Coadou.
Laurence Recchia has always been passionate about music but also about creating and developping cultural projects. In 2008, in Paris, she founded Les Voix Animées with Luc Coadou and since then, she has been singing in the vocal ensemble in numerous productions.
Today, Laurence Recchia leads simultaneously her career as an artist and as the manager of Les Voix Animées. She is also the general coordinator of the FIMÉ, the International Festival of Film Music that she created in 2005. The 19th edition of this festival dedicated to « ciné concerts » took place in November 2025.
